What is Life Coaching and how does it differ from Counselling?

Life Coaching:
Life coaching is a collaborative, goal-oriented process where a coach helps individuals identify and achieve

personal or professional goals.

It focuses on the present and future, helping clients

clarify their values, set actionable steps, and overcome obstacles to growth and success.

Life coaches provide guidance, motivation,

accountability, and practical strategies, but they typically do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions.

Counselling (Therapy):
Counselling, or psychotherapy, is a process where a trained professional helps individuals explore, understand, and work through emotional, psychological, or

behavioural issues.

Counsellors often deal with past experiences, unresolved trauma, mental health challenges, and emotional

difficulties. The aim is healing, insight, and improving mental well-being.

Counselling is often more structured around understanding patterns, emotions, and underlying psychological issues.

You may find it beneficial to have counselling and coaching if your past is blocking your future.
